Saved stories

When you save a story, its identifier is stored in localStorage on your device. It is used to look up your saved stories as you open the list. The list itself stays on this device and is not sent to a newsletter service. Removing the bookmark removes that story from the list. Clearing this site's browser storage clears the whole collection.

Search

Search covers the complete journal, including historical stories. Results are loaded one page at a time. Your query appears in the page URL so you can revisit or share it. There is no paid search or AI service behind the search box.

Newsletter signup

If you choose to join the newsletter list, the email address you enter is stored privately by this site as a signup request for future editions. Submitting the form does not send an email or share your address with a third-party mailing service.

Third-party links

When you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Fonts and article cover images in this edition are served from the site's own assets. Hosting providers may process standard access logs to serve and protect the site.
