Billed as being the world’s first 3D printed motorbike, the Light Rider is the work of a team of UK based engineers and designers and from a technological and aesthetic point of view, it really is an impressive looking steed. The 3D printed design has many benefits and, as the name suggests, it is an extremely lightweight vehicle that makes use of a proprietary aluminum alloy, Scalmalloy, to build out a frame that is incredibly lightweight (weighing just 13lbs).
Whilst it might not blow you away with it’s statistics – such as a top speed of 50pmh and a battery range of around 35 miles – it’s hard not to be impressed with the exceptional design of this extraordinary vehicle. Check out a few more shots below:
Though we’re not really massive motoring enthusiasts here at The Find Ledger HQ, when we come across brilliant and innovative projects like this 3D Printed Motorcycle from AP Works it’s hard not to be impressed. If you’re after a new steed that is that bit different than the norm, this is an ideal choice.
