Tobin Smith Architects designed this stunning home for a family with teenage children in San Antonio, Texas. The property is located on a triangular lot and faces a nature preserve with amazing views – something the architects really made th most of. The home is designed to be a “series of shields” clad in limestone and stucco. The front facade of the home offers maximum privacy, while the rear facade is more transparent.
The interior of the Casa Escuda boasts loads of striking aesthetic choices such as porcelain tile flooring, walnut cabinetry, and black soapstone. The home is spacious and well-designed, with plenty of room for the family to live and grow. The open floor plan makes it easy for everyone to stay connected, while the private spaces offer a place for everyone to retreat. The home is also energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, making it a great choice for a family that wants to live sustainably.
The home is a first-class example of the sort of contemporary architecture and interior design that we love here at The Find Ledger and it is sure to be a cherished home for the family for years to come.
